The Ministry of Textiles has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with 15 states to launch the 'Textiles focused Research, Assessment, Monitoring, Planning And Start-Up' (Tex-RAMPS) scheme. The initiative aims to improve the quality, coverage, and timeliness of textile-related statistical products and research. Under the scheme, each participating state or Union Territory will receive an annual grant of ₹12 lakh. Furthermore, an additional grant of ₹1 lakh per year will be provided for each district to develop and execute specific district action plans for sectors like handlooms, handicrafts, and technical textiles.
