Modi to flag off India's first hydrogen-powered train from Haryana's Jind
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off India's first hydrogen-powered fuel cell train, the NaMo Green Rail, from Jind, Haryana. This 10-coach train, designed and integrated indigenously, generates its own electricity through a chemical reaction between hydrogen and atmospheric oxygen, emitting only water vapour. During his multi-State visit, the Prime Minister will also lay foundation stones and dedicate national highway projects worth over ₹12,470 crore, including the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, and inaugurate new medical colleges and a state-of-the-art Sikh museum.
